Intake and Admission Process
Apollo Behavioral Health Hospital’s intake department works with individuals and referral sources to ensure a seamless admission process for our patients and families. We assist patients and family members in feeling comfortable and knowledgeable about the process from admission through discharge.
Inpatient Admission Process and Criteria
Apollo Behavioral Health Hospital’s inpatient program accepts individuals ages 18 and above. We provide stabilization and support in a safe and secure environment for those who are in crisis and need immediate care and treatment. Individuals who are a danger to themselves, a danger to others, or gravely disabled are appropriate for the added structure and support provided by inpatient. An individual needs to be medically cleared and a Physician Emergency Certificate (PEC), Coroner Emergency Certificate (CEC), or Order of Protective Custody (OPC) needs to be executed prior to transport to inpatient. An individual may also be deemed appropriate for a Formal Voluntary Admission (FVA).
Our intake department at the hospital is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to answer any questions or to offer assistance. Our intake team is knowledgeable about other organizations and services and would be happy to assist in finding care.
Please feel free to call (225) 663-2881 or 1-855-435-4322.
